At UPI Manufacturing, engineering is where concepts become production-ready solutions. Using advanced CAD and engineering software, our team works from customer drawings, specifications, models, and requirements to develop and refine the information needed to move a project efficiently into production.

Because our engineers work closely with the teams who fabricate, machine, weld, finish, assemble, and inspect each component, manufacturability is considered from the start. That connection between engineering and the shop floor helps identify potential challenges early, improve production efficiency, and maintain consistency from the first part through final assembly.

Engineering also plays a critical role in protecting the integrity of our customers’ information. UPI maintains disciplined revision control to ensure the right drawings, models, specifications, and manufacturing instructions are being used at every stage of production. Customer proprietary information and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) are handled with the appropriate safeguards and professionalism, providing our customers confidence that their information is in good hands.

Manufacturing doesn’t always wait for the next revision cycle. When in-process changes, design adjustments, or production challenges arise, UPI Engineering works quickly with our customers and internal teams to evaluate the change, document the requirements, and implement practical solutions with minimal disruption and cost.
